2015 Summer Program at TaipeiTech

National Institute of Technologies, Okinawa College carried out the 2015 Summer Program from August 16 to August 30 at CLTC (Chinese Language Training Center) of TaipeiTech in Taipei, Taiwan, with a financial support of 9 technical colleges' cooperation. Twenty nine students from Kyushu-Okinawa Region colleges had applied for the program. Twenty students from 5 technical colleges (Kitakyushu, Ariake, Kumamoto (Yatsushiro C), Miyakonojo, and Okinawa) were selected as the members to participate in the program. Ten students from the Okinawa College were selected as the members of the participants. The feature of this program was to study two major languages, Chinese and English which are most commonly used in the world. In addition, Chinese cultural experiences, students friendship exchange, visits to companies were included in the program. All lectures were performed in English. Furthermore, free time activities which the participants had planned every day were accepted. Therefore, the participants visited Shilin night market, Ximending, Taipei 101, Lungshan Temple, Palace Museum, Chiang Kaishek Memorial Hall, Jiufen, Tamsui, and shopping areas. Among the visits to companies, the participants visited a famous Taiwan maker, ASUS, an electric device company, and Toshiba Electronics Taiwan Corporation. During the program every participant made a daily report in English and at the closing ceremony every one made a presentation in English and Chinese. According to the questionnaire to the participants, all the members wanted to recommend other students this program.
